Executive Report

Good evening everyone!

June is finally among us, and at least for me it’s hot as all hell! June is going to be an absolutely rocking month, with a new feature coming out soon, a super charity fundraiser, and bringing on a new team member! Let’s dive in.

Earlier last month we started bringing in people to help test the new low latency RTMP ingest, we’ve since invited about 33 people, with 27 left to invite. We have a couple of huge bugs related to video encoding that are preventing us from inviting more users, and getting it out to the public. Unfortunately while I look for our new team member, RTMP may be the first to lag behind on updates!

This month we are celebrating Pride Month with a full month of official and community events. Community streams with great incentives, informative panels with members of the LGBT community, and more. Throughout all of it is a month-long, Glimesh-wide fundraiser that anybody can take part in, all going to The Trevor Project at the end of the month. Currently we have 13+ events ready for the month, and we’d love to add yours! Also look at this damn homepage!

Finally, but equally importantly, I’m super excited to announce that we are officially looking to bring on a marketing co-founder! We’re going down this path because we need help doing this, and we’ve gotten super far with our volunteers but we need to keep growing more.

So in closing, as I said last month, marketing is our number one priority! If you’d like to help, we’d like to talk with you!

Metrics

Currently our marketing metrics are still rather basic. We still need to update our metrics to track things we want to grow, so we can measure how campaigns are doing.

As always, Plausible cannot properly track our Bounce Rate & Visit Duration since our web framework does not send updates as the user changes pages. These metrics should be used as a comparable baseline, not a way of telling how many watch hours, or other common metrics, we have.

March 1st - May 31th

The app is showing great progress as well! We’ve hit pretty consistent downloads since launch and the app only has a couple of minor bugs that impact a small amount of users.
